• Visitation hours:
  • Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
    • Visits must be scheduled not less than 2 and no more than 14 calendar day
    • Visits are 30-minutes
    • In person visits can be scheduled at no cost. 
    • Remote visits have more scheduling flexibility, however require a fee. 
• You must bring a valid state ID or Driver's License
• No one under the age of 18 should be permitted to visit an inmate unless he/she is the spouse of the inmate and provides proof of marriage and a valid photo ID or he/she is accompanied by their parent or guardian
• Visitors must call to cancel a visit before the time the visit is scheduled to begin. If a visitor is a “no show” they may lose their visitation privileges for up to 30 days
• No more than four visitors will be approved at one time
• Any visitation may be limited or denied due to a court-ordered no-contact between the visitor and the inmate, vulgar or indecent actions, loud or disruptive behavior or visitors who are under the influence of alcohol or an illicit drug
• Former Monroe County Jail inmates who have been out of custody for less than 30 days are not be permitted to visit an inmate

•  All mail items are opened, searched and inspected for contraband. Incoming mail may be read unless attorney/client privilege applies.
• Mail should be addressed as follows:

• When sending an inmate mail, it must include a complete return address along with your first and last name
• Money orders can be sent in the mail; do not send cash or personal checks
• Incoming mail may not include the following:
  • Photos larger than 5 x 7 or Polaroid
  • Stickers/adhesives on the letter or envelope
  • Cards/letters with glue/gems/ribbons - only plain cards
  • Obscene/explicit contents
  • Letters/envelopes sprayed with perfume/cologne
  • Depicts assembly/use of weapons
  • Manufacturing/use of drugs
  • Means of escape
  • Gang-related
  • Pictures or letters colored/written in Crayon or gel/glitter pens
  • Blank paper, stamps, or envelopes
  • Photocopies of magazines or books, including word finds and Crossword puzzles, Soduko, or coloring pages
    • All books and magazines must come directly from the publisher or book store and must be soft-covered

Inmates who are sentenced and have been granted Huber/EMP privileges are eligible for Huber.

• If you are sentenced to jail and wish to go out on Huber, please have the attached Huber packet filled out and submitted to the jail prior to your report date, so that a jail staff can verify it

• You may post an inmate's bond at the Clerk of Courts office in the Justice Center during business hours 
• If it's after business hours, you can pay an inmate's bond with cash in the jail
  • Bonds that are paid with cash must be in the exact amount as we cannot make change

Items acceptable to drop off in the jail's public lobby:

• Prescription medications with proper labels can be dropped off in the jail's public lobby 24/7
• Money may be put on an inmate's account through the kiosk in the lobby using cash or card only 24/7
• Outside of Monday-Friday 1 PM- 5 PM the below items can be dropped off or taken care of.
• Prescription glasses
• One soft-covered religious book
• Clothing for inmates; 3 white t-shirts, 3 pairs of white socks, 3 pairs of underwear, and/or 3 bras
• Inmate property pickups/release of property

The public may schedule appointments on Saturdays and Sundays between 8:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. for the following:
