Maintenance Department
The Maintenance Department directly manages the buildings and grounds.
Some of the Monroe County facilities are:
- Administrative Center
- North Complex
- Animal Control
- Community Services Center
- Executive Center
- History Room
- Human Services
- Justice Center
- Rolling Hills Senior Living and Nursing Home
- UW-Extension
Monroe County Government has 19 Total Buildings, 1.3 miles of sidewalks, 8.23 acres of Parking Lots, and 17.65 acres of lawn.
Other Responsibilities are the maintenance and repair of internal systems such as heating, cooling, electrical, plumbing, and security systems.
Provide for general upkeep such as janitorial services, snow removal, waste removal, painting, and grounds care.
BUILDINGS & GROUNDS
- To assure that County government has clean, well-maintained facilities which meet public expectations while also encouraging a positive work environment for employees.
- To serve as a resource to all County Departments in matters involving landscaping and maintenance.
PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
- To represent the County in all matters of real estate and serve as protector and keeper of all County lands unassigned to other departments.
- To oversee and maintain foreclosed properties with in Monroe County
