All About McMullen

Come find a new adventure and enjoy the comfort when you stay at McMullen Memorial County Park in Warrens, Wisconsin. Located just north of the rugged bluffs in the driftless area and nestled in the heart of cranberry growing country, there is no shortage of activities in and around the park. Come for the local community event of the year, Warrens Cranberry Festival, or simply enjoy the natural seclusion Monroe County has to offer. McMullen Memorial County Park and nearby forest spans over 1,000 acres including 88 campsites, hiking trails, and 50-acre Lake Wazeda. Come experience McMullen Memorial County Park and its endless possibilities!

McMullen is Monroe County’s first county park that was established in 1958. It was originally named “Wazeda Park” until it was renamed in 1972 in dedication to Lester McMullen, who was a dedicated Monroe County board chairman from 1957-1971. Lester McMullen was instrumental in establishing the park and made a point to share it with as many friends, family, and community members as he could. In the decades since the park was founded, there have been innumerable improvement projects made possible by hard working county staff, board members, committees, volunteers, and community members.
